  • 1 apple
  • 1 Pear
  • 12 plums
  • 1 kg elderberries
  • 250 g Sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 Star anise
  • 1 packet custard powder 'vanilla flavor'

Wash and peel the apple and pear, remove the core. Cut the fruit into small cubes. Wash the plums, stone them and cut into cubes

Wash the elderberries, strip the stems, put in a saucepan and pour 1/4 liter of water, sugar, cinnamon, anise and Cover half of the fruit and cook for about 20 minutes. After approx. 10 minutes, add the remaining fruit and 1/4 liter of water and cook covered for approx. 10 more minutes

Mix the pudding powder with approx. 6 tablespoons of water into the elderberry compote Stir in and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Serve warm or cold
