Gyros steaks in ouzo cream

For 4 4 people
  • 2 onions
  • 500 g mixed hack
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 2 EL Breadcrumbs
  • 1 EL Gyrosgewürz
  • Salt, pepper
  • 1 EL Oil
  • 1 EL Butter
  • 1 EL Flour
  • 200 g whipped cream
  • 4 EL Ouzo
  • 100 g Gouda (piece)
  • 1 small bunch of chives

Peel and dice the onions. Knead the mince, egg, breadcrumbs and half of the onion cubes. Season with gyros spice. Possibly. Season with a little salt and pepper. Shape 4 flat steaks out of the mixture.

Heat the oil in an ovenproof pan. Steaks in it from each sideFry for about 3 minutes.

Preheat the oven grill. Heat the butter in a pan. Braise the rest of the onion in it. Dust with flour and sauté briefly. Deglaze with cream and 200 ml water, bring to the boil and simmer for 3–4 minutes, stirring.

Season with ouzo, salt and pepper.

Pour the sauce over the meat steaks. Rub cheese over it. Bake under a hot grill for 3-4 minutes until the cheese has melted.

Wash the chives, shake dry and cut into fine rolls. Sprinkle the steaks with it. It goes well with flatbread or rice.
