Lemon chicken with garlic and thyme

Preheat the oven (electric stove: 200 ° C / convection: 175 ° C / gas: see manufacturer). Wash the chicken inside and out, pat dry and rub with salt and pepper. Put in a roaster. Mash the garlic cloves with a wide knife blade.

Wash the thyme. Pour half into the chicken and spread around it. Brush the chicken with oil and fry in the hot oven for about 1 1⁄2 hours. After about 30 minutes, pour in 1⁄4 l of water.

Wash the lemon with hot water and thinly peel off the peel with a zester. Or peel the lemon and cut the peel into thin strips. Cut the fruit into slices. Approx. Add both 20 minutes before the end of the roasting time.
