Cherry mulled wine

For 4 glasses
  • 1 Glass (370 ml) Morello cherries
  • 4 EL Almond liqueur (e.g. B. Amaretto)
  • 750 ml red wine
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Star anise
  • 1 Bag of spice preparation for mulled wine (mulled wine)

Drain the cherries , Catch the juice en. Drizzle the cherries with amaretto and let it steep. Bring the cherry juice, red wine and sugar to the boil. Wash the lemon, cut into slices. Let the cinnamon stick, star anise, lemon slices and infusion bags soak in hot wine for about 10 minutes.

Pour 1 tablespoon of marinated cherries into a glass. Top up with hot mulled wine and serve.
