Cream waffles with a mango and strawberry salad

For 8 pieces
  • 250 g strawberries
  • 4 EL + 50 g sugar
  • 1 (300 g) small mango
  • 1 Lime
  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 packet vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs (Size M)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • 2 deleted TL 'Fine seasoning mix for waffles'
  • 100 ml + 3 tbsp milk
  • 100 g Whipped cream e
  • 250 g Quark (20% fat i. Tr.)

Wash and clean the strawberries, cut them into cubes and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Cut the mango from the stone, peel and cut into cubes. Wash the lime with hot water, rub dry and peel thinly.

Squeeze out the fruit juice. Add the mango, lime zest and 1 tablespoon of lime juice to the strawberries. For the waffle batter, beat the fat, 50 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer until creamy.

Stir in eggs one after the other. Mix the flour, baking powder and seasoning mixture and stir in alternately with 100 ml of milk and cream. Place approx. 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter in the middle of a greased, preheated waffle iron and bake until golden.

Bake another 7 waffles from the rest of the batter. Mix the quark, 3 tablespoons of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of lime juice until the sugar crystals have dissolved. Separate the waffles into a heart shape, dust them with powdered sugar.

Add some fruit salad and quark cream. Garnish with mint.
