Wiener Kaiserschmarrn` 1st attempt

For 2 people
  • 3 piece (s) eggs
  • 2 TL Granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 EL Butter
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 180 g plain flour
  • Icing sugar

Separate the eggs for the Kaiserschmarren. Beat the egg whites into firm snow - add a pinch of salt before stirring.

Mix the egg yolks with the granulated sugar, add the milk and flour. Mix with a whisk until you have a nice batter. Fold the egg whites into the dough.

Melt some butter in a pan and pour in the mixture. Allow the Kaiserschmarren to settle on the bottom for a few minutes until the underside has a brownish color.

Tear into pieces with a fork and turn so that the other side is also baked golden brown. Now sprinkle some granulated sugar over it and toss it briefly in the pan. Roasted plums or applesauce go great.
