Marinated tuna on Italian white bread

For 4 people
  • 1 Can (s) (200 g; div. weight 150 g) Tuna in its own juice and infusion
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 EL lemon juice
  • 2-3 EL Olive oil
  • 4 stem (s) Basil
  • Salt
  • colorful pepper
  • 8 slices Ciabatta (Italian White bread; approx. 25 g each)
  • Salad leaves, cherry tomato quarters, basil and lemon wedges

Drain the tuna. Peel and finely dice the garlic and onion. Mix together lemon juice and olive oil. Wash the basil, pat dry, pluck the leaves from the stems and cut into fine strips.

Add the garlic, onion and basil to the marinade and season with salt and pepper. Chop the tuna and drizzle with the marinade. Approx. Let marinate for 30 minutes. Spread the tuna on the ciabatta slices and serve with lettuce, tomato quarters, basil and a lemon wedge as desired.
