Dried fruit salad with hazelnuts and spices

For 4 people
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1/2 TL Cornstarch
  • 1 Star anise
  • 1 red chilli pepper
  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 400 g dried fruits (e.g. B. raisins, apple rings, apricots, figs, plums, pineapples)
  • 1 tbsp rose water
  • 50 g Hazelnut kernels with skin
  • 2 EL peeled sesame seeds
  • 1 organic lemon

Mix sugar, starch and 350 ml water, add anise, chilli and cinnamon, bring to the boil, dried fruits Pour in, bring to the boil again, pour into a bowl, stir in rose water and let stand for approx. 2 hours

Roughly chop the hazelnuts. Roast the sesame and hazelnuts in a pan until golden brown, remove and allow to cool. Wash lemon with hot water, rub dry. Halve the lemon and squeeze out 1 half. Stir lemon zest and juice into the fruit. Arrange the fruit and stock on plates, sprinkle with the sesame-nut mixture.
