Croissant casserole

  • 2 Apples
  • 6 EL lemon juice
  • 5 EL Sugar
  • 1 pack (250 g) Mini Butter Croissants (10 pieces)

  • 1/2 l Milk (12 tbsp + 380 ml)
  • 1 packet 'Vanilla flavor' sauce powder

Wash the apples, quarter them, remove the core. Cut the apple quarters into thin wedges. Mix the apple wedges, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan and cook covered for about 3 minutes. Put the croissants and apples in a baking dish. Whisk eggs and 6 tablespoons of milk together. Mix the sauce powder, 3 tablespoons of sugar and 6 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Bring 380 ml milk to the boil, stir in the mixed powder, cook for 1 minute. Stir in the beaten eggs and spread over the croissants. Bake in a preheated oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / convection: 150 ° C / gas: level 2) for about 15 minutes. Cover the casserole if necessary. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
