Colorful box cake

  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanillin Sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • grated zest and juice of 1 untreated lemon
  • 200 g Crème fraîche
  • 250 g flour
  • 125 g Cornstarch
  • 2 TL Baking powder
  • 1 pack (200 g) candied fruits
  • 1 Pack ung (125 g) rum-raisins
  • 1 pack (75 g) chocolate droplets
  • 1 EL Icing sugar

Beat the fat, sugar and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl with the whisk of the hand mixer until frothy. Gradually add the eggs and stir in. Mix in lemon zest and juice as well as crème fraîche.

Add 200 g flour, cornstarch and baking powder and stir in. Mix the remaining flour, fruits, raisins and chocolate droplets,add and fold in everything with a spatula. Grease a box cake tin (30 cm long).

Fill in the batter. Bake in the preheated oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / gas: level 2) for about 1 1/2 hours. Remove the cake from the mold and let cool down on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar.
