- Wash the lettuce and pat dry. Wash and clean tomatoes and cut into thin slices. Spread 1 teaspoon of mayonnaise on each toast slice. Cover half of the slices with 1 lettuce leaf and 1 slice of cheese each. Brush with 1 teaspoon of mustard each. Place 1 slice of ham and approx. 4 slices of tomato on top. Place the remaining bread slices on top. Halve the slices diagonally
