Clafoutis with strawberries

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1-2 Vanilla pods
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 2 EL Orange liqueur (e.g. B. Garnd Marnier)
  • 3-4 EL liquid whipped cream
  • 130 g flour
  • 1 TL Icing sugar
  • 4 (approx. 160 g) large scoops of vanilla ice cream

Wash the strawberries, drain them well, clean and cut in half. Cut the vanilla pods lengthways and scrape out the pulp. Separate eggs. Beat egg yolks, salt, vanilla pulp and half of the sugar until frothy. Stir in the orange liqueur, cream and flour. Beat the egg white until stiff and finally pour in the remaining sugar. Fold the egg whites into the dough in two portions and pour approx. 1/3 of the mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread the strawberries on top and cover with the rest of the batter. Bake in the preheated oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / gas: level 3) for about 45 minutes. Serve immediately dusted with powdered sugar. Vanilla ice cream or vanilla sauce tastes good with it
