Cinnamon and date corners

For 30 pieces
  • 250 g flour, 1 pinch of baking powder
  • 100 g Sugar, 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 Knife tip ground allspice
  • ab. Bowl v. 1 untreated Orange
  • 1 egg + 1 egg yolk (size M)
  • 150 g cold butter
  • 200 g soft dried dates (without stone)
  • 40 g chopped hazelnuts
  • 1/2 TL cinnamon, 1 tsp milk

Knead 1 egg and butter in pieces first with the hand mixer and then briefly with your hands until smooth. Cover and chill for about 1 hour.

Finely chop the dates (very soft, not so fine; they will be mushy). Mix with nuts and cinnamon. Roll out the dough on a little flour into 2 rectangles (approx. 12 x 40 cm). Sprinkle the date mixture on top, leaving a border of approx. 2 cm all around. Roll up from the long side. Wrap the rolls in foil. Approx. Chill for 1 hour

Whisk 1 egg yolk and milk. Brush cookies with it. Bake in a hot oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / convection: 150 ° C / gas: level 2) for about 20 minutes. Cooling down. Dust with powdered sugar
