Christmas vanilla cream

  • 1 glass (720 ml) cherries
  • 3 EL Sugar
  • 1 packet Sauce powder
  • 75 g brown cakes
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 packet 'Vanilla flavor' pudding powder
  • 100 g whipped cream

Pour the cherries onto a sieve, drain well and collect the juice. Stir 5 tablespoons of juice, 1 tablespoon of sugar and sauce powder until smooth. Pour the remaining juice into a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add the mixed sauce powder while stirring, fold in the cherries and set aside. Roughly crumble the cake. Stir 5 tablespoons of milk, remaining sugar and pudding powder until smooth. Bring the rest of the milk and cream to the boil. Add the mixed pudding powder while stirring and bring to the boil again briefly. Set aside 1 tablespoon of cake crumbs to decorate, carefully fold the remaining cake crumbs into the pudding. Pour cherry compote and pudding into dessert glasses, sprinkle with the cake crumbs provided and serve decorated with lemon balm if you like
