Christmas cake

  • 250 g Butter or margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 6 eggs (size M)
  • 375 g flour
  • 1 package Baking powder
  • 100 ml Almond Liqueur
  • 1 (100 g) Christmas chocolate bar
  • 50 g Amarettini
  • 1 EL Icing sugar
  • 1 EL Cocoa powder

Beat the fat, sugar and salt with the whisk of the hand mixer until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir into the fat egg mixture with the liqueur.

Roughly chop the chocolate. Fold the chocolate and amarettini into the batter. Place the dough on a greased, deep baking sheet (33 x 27 centimeters) and smooth it out. Bake in a preheated oven (electric stove: 200 ° C / gas: level 3) for 25 to 30 minutes.

Let cool down on a wire rack. Using a star stencil, dust stars onto the cake with powdered sugar and cocoa. Makes 24 pieces.
