Beetroot puree

For 4 people
  • 800 g beetroot
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 EL Butter or margarine
  • Salt
  • Cumin
  • Pepper
  • ground coriander

Peel the beetroot and cut into pieces. Peel onion and chop finely. Heat the fat in a saucepan. Sauté the onion and beetroot in it. Season with salt, cumin and pepper.

Pour in 100 ml of water, bring to the boil and cook covered for approx. 15 minutes. Mash the beetroot and season with salt and coriander.
