Apple punch with cider, port and cinnamon

For 4 people
  • 2 Apples
  • 1/2 l clear apple juice
  • 100 ml white port
  • 2-3 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4-5 Anise stars
  • 400 ml Cidre ( sparkling apple cider)

Wash apples, rub dry and cut out an apple slice with a stem from the middle. Quarter the remaining apple halves and remove the core. Cut the apples into pieces and put them in a saucepan with the apple juice, port wine, sugar, cinnamon sticks and aniseed stars and bring to the boil. Simmer over low heat for 3-4 minutes. Finally pour in the cider and bring to the boil again briefly. Fill into punch glasses, decorate with the apple slices and serve
