Apple Kaiserschmarren

For 4 people
  • 3 eggs (weight class 3)
  • 2 Tbsp (20 g) Sugar
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 1/2 TL untreated orange peel (can be bought grated)
  • 100 g flour
  • 350 ml Milk
  • 1 medium-sized apple
  • 30 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 Parcel Dessert sauce 'Vanilla flavor'
  • 1-2 EL Icing sugar

Separate 1 egg. Mix the egg yolks, 2 eggs, sugar, salt, orange peel, flour and 100 ml milk. Let the dough soak for about 10 minutes. Peel, quarter, core and finely dice the apple. Stir the apple into the batter. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in. Heat half the fat in a large pan. Pour in half of the dough, smooth it out and let it set. Tear into small pieces with 2 forks. Continue baking until the pieces are golden brown. Keep warm. Process the remaining half of the dough in the same way. Pour 250 ml of cold milk into a bowl. Add the sauce powder and beat vigorously for about 1 minute. Serve the Schmarren. Dust with the icing sugar. Add the sauce
