Apple fritters with vanilla sauce

For 4 people
  • 1/2 l milk
  • 1 packet 'Vanilla flavor' sauce powder
  • 4 EL Sugar
  • 1 Egg (size M)
  • 75 ml white wine
  • 75 g flour
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 2 Apples
  • lemon juice
  • 1 l Oil for deep-frying
  • 1/2 TL Cinnamon
  • Lemon Mellisse

Bring milk to the boil up to 4 tablespoons. Mix the sauce powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar and the rest of the milk until smooth. Stir the sauce powder into the boiling milk, simmer for about 1 minute. Chill the vanilla sauce. Mix egg, wine, flour and salt until smooth. Let it soak for 15 minutes. Peel the apples and remove the core with an apple cutter. Cut the apples into 12 rings and drizzle with lemon juice. Heat oil in a pot. Pat the apple rings dry, pull them through the batter and fry them in portions in hot oil until golden. Take out the apple rings, drain them on kitchen paper and toss in cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Arrange apple rings with a little sauce on plates and serve decorated with lemon balm. Add the rest of the sauce
