Apple curd mug

For 4 people
  • 500 g apples
  • 300 ml + 5 tbsp apple juice
  • 60 g + 50 g + 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 EL lemon juice
  • 1 packet 'Vanilla flavor' sauce powder
  • (e.g. Cook; for 1/2 l milk)
  • 2-3 EL Calvados or rum
  • 75 g Brown bread
  • 1-2 EL Butter
  • 100 g whipped cream
  • 400-500 g Lean quark
  • 1/2 TL Cinnamon

Wash, peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut into thin slices and bring to the boil with 300 ml apple juice, 60 g sugar and lemon juice. Cover and simmer for about 3 minutes.

Mix the sauce powder with 5 tbsp apple juice until smooth and stir into the boiling compote. Cook for another 1 minute. Let the apple compote cool down. Season to taste with calvados

Crumble bread and toast in hot butter, sprinkling 1 teaspoon of sugar over it. cooling downlet

whip the cream until it is half stiff. Mix the quark, 50 g sugar and cinnamon. Fold in the cream. Season the quark cream with cinnamon

Layer the compote, cream and breadcrumbs alternately in tall glasses. Put in a cool place until serving
