Apple casserole with caramel

  • something + 250 g softened butter
  • sth as + 250 g flour

  • 100 g + 100 g sugar

Grease a baking dish (approx. 18 x 30 cm) and dust with flour. Separate eggs. Mix 250 g butter, 250 g flour, 100 g sugar, 2 pinches of salt and egg yolk with the whisk of the mixer. Beat the egg white until stiff and pour in 100 g of sugar. Fold in the egg whites.

Peel, quarter and core the apples. Cut the quarters into wedges. Mix with the caramel spread.

Preheat the oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / convection: 150 ° C / gas: see manufacturer). Spread half of the dough in the pan. Place the caramel apples on top and cover with the rest of the batter. Bake in the hot oven for about 1 hour (test with chopsticks!). Serve lukewarm or cold.
