Apple and pear jelly with vanilla quark

For 4 people
  • 2 small pears
  • 2 large
  • sour apples
  • 1 / 4 l Apple juice
  • 2–4 EL Sugar
  • 1/2 Parcel Vanilla pudding powder
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • 250 g Quark (20% fat)
  • 150 g Whipped cream

Peel, core and dice pears and apples. Bring to the boil with apple juice and 1–2 tablespoons of sugar. Cover everything and simmer for 5–7 minutes.

Mix the pudding powder and 3 tablespoons of water until smooth. Stir the mixed powder into the fruit and simmer for about 1 minute. Let the groats cool down.

Cut the vanilla pod lengthways. Scrape out the pith. Mix with quark and 1–2 tablespoons sugar until smooth. Cut the pod lengthways into fine strips for the decoration. Whip the cream until stiff and fold into the quark.

Layer with groats alternately in 4 glasses. Garnish with the vanilla pod.
