Apple and onion lard with marjoram

For 2 bowls
  • (approx. 500 ml content):
  • 2-3 Onions
  • 1 big apple
  • 250 g goose fat
  • 500 g Pork flavors (let the butcher go crazy)
  • 1/2 potty fresh marjoram (or 1 teaspoon dried marjoram)
  • 1/2 TL Salt

Peel the onions and cut into cubes. Wash and quarter the apple, remove the core and dice the apple as well. Cut the goose fat into pieces and heat them together with the pork flavors in a saucepan. When the cracklings start to brown, add the onions and brown them. Remove the lard from the stove and add the apple cubes to the hot fat. Wash marjoram, pat dry, pluck the leaves from the stems and also add to the lard. Finally add a little salt and fill the lard into bowls. Allow to cool slightly. Place in the refrigerator to set. Nicely packaged give away
