Anise cookies

  • 50 g Orangeat
  • 2 Eggs (size M)
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 TL ground anise
  • 300 g Flour
  • 4 EL Milk
  • 3 EL Hail Sugar
  • 125 g Dark chocolate couverture

  • 1 small freezer bag

Oran finely chop geat. Beat eggs, sugar and salt until frothy. Add anise and orange peel. Gradually knead in the flour with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Work into a smooth dough with your hands.
Cover and chill for 3-4 hours. Roll out the dough 2-3 mm thick on a floured work surface. Approx. Cut out 5 cm large cookies in an S shape. Place on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Brush the cookies with milk and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake one after the other in the preheated oven (electric stove: 200 ° C / gas: level 3) for 15-17 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack. Melt the couverture. Pour into a freezer bag, cut off a small corner and sprinkle fine strips on the aniseed cookies.
You may also leave some cookies without topping. Makes about 100 pieces.
