American pan pizza

  • 200 g chunky tomato pulp
  • 1-2 EL Tomato ketchup

Dissolve yeast and sugar in 150 ml of lukewarm water while stirring. Put the flour, olive oil and salt in a mixing bowl, add the yeast-water mixture and knead with the dough hook of the hand mixer.

Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 25 minutes. Heat the oil in a pan, fry the minced meat in it, turning over a medium heat, until crumbly. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.

Wash the thyme, pat dry and pluck the leaves from the stems. Wash, clean and slice the mushrooms. Finely dice the ham. Drain the mozzarella well on a sieve and cut into thin slices.

Roughly grate the Gouda. Tomato pulp, salt, pepper, paprika,Mix together the ketchup and 3/4 of the thyme. Wash, quarter, core and finely dice tomatoes. Knead the dough again, roll out on a floured work surface into a circle (approx. 26 cm Ø).

Place the dough in a greased pizza or tart pan (26 cm Ø) and let rise for another 20 minutes. Brush the dough with tomato pulp. Top with half of the mozzarella, minced meat, mushrooms and ham.

Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella, Gouda cheese and tomato cubes on the pizza. Bake the pizza in a preheated oven (electric stove: 200 ° C / gas: level 3) for 20-25 minutes until golden. Serve sprinkled with the remaining thyme.

Garnish with basil if you like.
