Amaretto almond star

  • 200 g Butter or margarine
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 packet Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 eggs (size M)
  • 3 EL Instant coffee
  • 150 ml Amaretto (almond liqueur)
  • 250 g flour
  • 150 g ground almonds
  • 2 TL baking powder
  • 300 g white couverture
  • 100 g fine chocolate flakes
  • 20 g Chocolate stars
  • 10 Amarettini (small almond cookies)

Mix the fat, sugar, vanillin sugar and salt until foamy. Stir in eggs. Coffee powderDissolve in 3 tablespoons of liqueur, add. Mix in flour, almonds and baking powder and stir in. Pour the dough into a greased star shape (1 liter capacity).

Bake in a preheated oven (electric stove: 175 ° C / gas: level 2) for 40-45 minutes. Brush with amaretto liqueur while still hot. Detach from the mold. Let cool down. Melt the couverture. Cover the star with it.

Cut stars out of the chocolate flakes. To do this, put the cookie cutter in hot water, dab it off and cut out stars. Place the mold in hot water again and again (otherwise the stars will break).

Decorate the cake with large and small stars and the amarettini. Makes about 12 pieces.
