Almond semolina with plum compote

For 4 people
  • 1 glass (720 ml) plums
  • 1 EL Cornstarch
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 Pack Semolina dessert 'Almond'
  • 250 g cream quark
  • grated zest of 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 packet Vanillin sugar
  • 2 EL chopped almonds
  • Lemon balm

Let the plums drain off, catching the juice. Mix together 2 tablespoons of juice and starch. Bring the remaining juice and cinnamon stick to the boil. Stir in the cornstarch and bring to the boil again. Carefully fold in the plums and let the compote cool. Put the milk in a bowl, add the dessert powder and stir for about 1/2 minute. Stir in the quark, lemon zest and vanillin sugar. Pour semolina into dessert bowls and let set for about 10 minutes. Spread the compote on top. Sprinkle with almonds and decorate with lemon balm
