Almond nuts

  • 300 g flour

Knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and leave to rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface into a rectangle (approx. 40x35 cm). Using a pastry wheel, rub out diamonds (approx. 4.5x4.5 cm).
Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush with egg white and sprinkle thickly with flaked almonds. Bake in the preheated oven (electric stove: 200 ° C / gas: level 3) for about 15 minutes.
Let cool down on a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar. Makes approx. 45 pieces.
