Almond macarones

Beat the egg white until it is very stiff, slowly drizzling in the sugar. Stir in the lime juice and zest. Approx. Continue beating for 10 minutes. Mix the ground and chopped almonds well and fold in carefully.

Pour the batter into a piping bag with a large perforated nozzle and squirt small heaps onto the wafers. Bake in a preheated oven (electric stove: 150 ° C / gas: level 1) for 15-20 minutes. Let cool for about 2 minutes and then gently press the piles together.
