Wash the potatoes and cook in salted boiling water for about 20 minutes. Bring the milk and a pinch of salt to the boil. Add the pasta and cook for about 10 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed. In the meantime, grate the cheese coarsely. Peel the onions and garlic. Cut the onions into rings and the garlic into slices. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and fry the garlic and onions until golden brown. Drain, rinse and peel the potatoes. Let the potatoes cool down a little and cut into slices. Put the pasta, onions, garlic and cheese in an ovenproof baking dish. In the preheated oven (electric stove: 200 ° C / convection: 175 ° C / gas: level 3) approx. 25 minutesgratinated. In the meantime, peel, quarter, core and cut the apples into wedges. Heat 2 tablespoons of butter, add apple wedges and sprinkle with sugar.
